Barista Movement

I’m tired but I’m not “yell at a barista” tired. Sometimes I am though and it’s all I can do to not snip at a customer service rep or grumble at a slow walking person in front of me at the airport or… yell at a barista? I don’t know if I’ve ever been that tired.

I would like to think that if I started to yell at a counter person at Starbucks I would immediately catch myself in a disgusting modern cliche and freeze. No matter how tired we get, it is never ok to be a cliche.

There is too much on the line when you’re representing all of us to get weak and verbally abuse a barista.

I’m going to organize a march for abused baristas called “Coffee Lives Sort Of Matter”. We will march on country clubs and gated communities. Then when we are ready for national attention we will take on Dunkin Donuts for automating craft coffee… you have to have a long term plan for your movement. And no that is not a “coffee is a diaretic” pun.
